Protocol

The photographs in this series are created using a camera-less process known as lumen printing. Objects are placed on light sensitive paper under glass and set outside. In the heat of the sun, a unique, but fleeting rendering of the object takes place. As the world, our communities and my household went into quarantine to combat the spread of COVID-19, I turned to art as a coping mechanism and emotional outlet, creating lumen prints of masks every day. The images although ethereal in aesthetic create an interesting juxtaposition between the subject matter and visible image.
